Europa Worldwide Group starts £60 million logistics project

Work has started on Europa Worldwide Group’s new £60 million, future-proofed 715,000 sq ft state-of-the-art, supersized logistics facility. Based at Midlands Logistics Park in Corby, (Northants) the scheme is due for completion in June 2020.

Europa Worldwide Group is an ambitious independent logistics operator with five divisions – Road, Air & Sea, Showfreight, Warehouse and its newly acquired Europa Contact Centre – and the new Corby site will become Europa’s largest facility in the UK.
This year, Europa Worldwide Group revealed record turnover (£180m) and profit (£5.2m) in its Annual Financial Results announcement, following an exceptional 12 months – the best in the company’s 50-year history. Going from strength to strength, the brand is expecting to see further growth in 2020.
Further to this, the leading logistics brand appeared in The Sunday Times Top Track 250 for the second year running, ranking at 153rd in this year’s prestigious league table, climbing up 65 places from last year.

This new facility will double Europa Warehouse’s logistics portfolio and is being constructed to a high-quality institutional specification, including above market standard 18 metre heights to facilitate three floors of mezzanines.

Andrew Baxter, Managing Director at Europa Worldwide Group said: “We’re delighted to announce this huge investment in our logistics operation at a time of massive growth at Europa. This is the single biggest investment we have ever made since I acquired the business in 2013 and it demonstrates our ambition to strengthen our 3PL operation at a time of huge market growth particularly for e-commerce Logistics.”

This is the latest investment in Europa’s logistics operation following strong results by the award-winning team. Europa Warehouse already supports a wide range of leading blue-chip clients and this new facility will enable it to enhance its services significantly.
